Introduction
We are George and J.T. Burnett, and we have been making candles since 1998. We didn't start out successfully by any means. We initiated our business by accident really. I (J.T.) wanted to make candles because I loved burning them so much, and the leading brands were just too expensive. So, we started the process as a hobby and gave them to friends and family for testing. When everyone loved them and wanted to purchase our products, we decided to turn our hobby into a business...and the rest is history!

History of The Wax Wagon
Our first candle was made from a starter kit and was a complete flop! We had no idea of the detail and preciseness involved in making candles. Because I (J.T.) love a challenge, I decided to research the topic of candle making thoroughly to come up with the perfect combination of supplies to create the perfect candle. We tested many many products, and even almost gave up before we reached our goal. We have been most successful, however, with our distributor programs, fundraiser programs, wholesale, shows and parties. We do still sell retail as well.

A Family Affair
We are proud to say that our business has been successful due to the partnership between the two of us and from the help and hard work of our family members. Everyone has lent a helping hand in making The Wax Wagon a great success, especially my (J.T.) mother Peggy Gibson who has spent many late nights helping me label candles and making soap and air fresheners for a next day delivery.
